Clene Nyiramahoro

African Missionary to Africa

Master Facilitator in Bible-based trauma healing

Clene Nyiramahoro is a Rwandan, married and has six children. She works for SIL International as a trauma healing Master Facilitator and coordinator. She has lived and worked in cross-cultural contexts for the last 29 years. She is currently working among the refugees mostly living in Africa, but hoping to expand her ministry to refugees living outside Africa as well. She has led trauma healing workshops in different countries hosting refugees in East and Southern Africa and she has seen first-hand the impact of that life-changing ministry in the lives of people. She has published her book Beyond the tears: a story of God’s faithfulness. She believes God uses our brokenness to encourage others in the Kingdom, to give hope to the hopeless.

She describes herself as “resilient,” a testament to her journey from leaving her homeland as a young wife to raising six children amidst pain and adversities. Despite losing a sense of belonging and stability, sheI has led a flourishing ministry, carved out her niche in international circles, and discovered her path, seizing opportunities in the face of life’s daunting challenges. This journey has taught her the invaluable lesson that her ways are not God’s ways, for His paths are flawless and designed with a higher purpose in mind. Embracing trust in God through her darkest moments of her life has fortified her spiritual and emotional resilience, shaping her into the resilient woman she is today.

Her aspiration extends to cultivating a cadre of therapists from within the refugee community, equipped to minister to millions of forcibly displaced individuals—a demographic that the global Church is striving to understand and support more effectively. This ministry of hope, aimed at the marginalized and overlooked, is a vision she holds dearly.
